Funding for farm succession planning.

If you want to plan for the succession of your family farm and protect your family’s interests, then now is the perfect time to update your succession planning.  Grants are available now to help Queensland primary producers or their relatives offset the costs of professional advice related to family farm transfers.

Primary producers (or their children or relatives) who have received, or are seeking professional advice about the transfer or sale of the primary production enterprise are eligible for assistance.  Advices must be provided by a qualified professional such as a solicitor.

Rebates can be claimed of up to 50% of the amount paid for professional advice, to a maximum of $2,500 for each financial year.

The scheme is being offered by the Queensland Government and applications are made direct through the Queensland Rural Adjustment Authority (“QRAA”).  Contact MMLaw today to discuss your succession plan and what we can help you and your family to achieve.
